Welcome

So I thought I'd better set up a blog to record my journeying and adventures as I make the transition from pat to ex-pat; from Scottish citezen to Kiwi national. My aim is twofold:

• To let people know that I'm still alive.
• To rub a few choice noses in it.

This is basically a personal blog about a man named Andy McDowall. Our protagonist was born in Scotland and at the age of 25 decided he wanted to live in Vancouver (Canada). He then procrastonated for two years before getting a visa for New Zealand. He is a Software Engineer by trade and once won a mountain bike on national tv. He dies in the end.
