Today I had two more interviews: one with Kiwibank in the morning, and the other being my third one for Datacraft. Both interviews went really well, I got really positive feedback from both.
Shortly after my third interview for Datacraft I received a phone call from my recruitment agency saying that they wanted me to start tomorrow. Bonus. However the interview with Kiwibank had also gone well and I had been informed that I'd been the strongest candidate interviewed - the impression I got was - baring a few numeracy/literacy tests - I'd be offered the role.
So now I had this heartbreaking decision to make about whether I take the offer on the table... or wait to be offered the other job.
In actual fact the decision was pretty easy - the coin toss came up heads.
On one hand the Kiwibank role was right up my street, I'd be doing effectively what I've been doing with the ESPC.
On the other hand the Datacraft role was more outside my comfort zone meaning I'd be more challenged and be learning more stuff. Sold! (McDowall you've done it again!).
So I start tomorrow with my one shirt and creased trousers.
